Elijah and Elisha

Elijah and Elisha 1
The great man of God, Elijah, knew that his work on earth was finished. ‘God had chosen you, Elisha, to do His work when I have gone,’ he said.
Elijah and Elisha 2
‘Stay here. I am going to heaven today.’‘I will not leave you,’ Elisha replied. They walked to the town of Bethel. ‘Stay here,’ said Elijah.
Elijah and Elisha 3
‘I am going to heaven today.’
‘I will not leave you,’ Elisha said. They walked to the town of Jericho. ‘Stay here,’ said Elijah.

Elijah and Elisha 4
When they came to the river Jordan, Elijah hit the water with his cloak. God made a dry path to walk over. ‘Stay here,’ said Elijah.
Elijah and Elisha 5
Elijah’s work was finished. God sent a swirling wind to take Elijah to heaven. His cloak fell to the ground.

Elijah and Elisha 6
Elisha picked up the cloak. He prayed that God would be with him. Elisha went to tell people about God.
Elijah and Elisha 7
At the river Jordan, Elisha hit the water with Elijah’s cloak and God made a dry path. God was with great prophet, Elisha too.

Elijah is taken up to heaven and Elisha takes over.
